Exhale: Stories About Grief

  • The LAB @ 1010 1010 South Bailey Street Seattle, Washington, 98108 United States (map)

Presented by Listening to Grief and Collaborative Sage.

Take a breath, hold space, and release the grief story that wants out. Join us for this open-mic-style storytelling night of honest, vulnerable, and personal grief stories. Everyone is invited to share a story or a song about the surprising or mundane, tender or jagged, illuminating or heart-wrenching, cozy or painful, empowering or debilitating, magical or raw, human or ghostly, liberating or mired, clarifying or foggy, recent or distant, ongoing or outside of time, sweet or sour experiences of grief. Grief comes in many forms and from all types of change.

Your story is important, and we want to hear it. Storytellers need an audience and grief needs to be witnessed, so performers and listeners are welcome.

Sign-up for a storytelling slot at the door (doors open at 6:30). We'll do our best to get everyone on stage who wants to perform, so please limit your story to 5 minutes. Names will be selected at random. For acoustic instruments, a DI hookup or an additional microphone will be available.
