Happy Hour for Sad People

  • Mr. B's Mead Center 9444 Delridge Way Southwest Seattle, WA, 98106 United States (map)

Hosted by Tamara Kubacki-For more information email tamara@listeningtogrief.com

Imagine the scene: you’re finally ready to shed the pajama pants, leave the house, and talk to other adults. You head to your favorite place to socialize and the first person you talk to looks at you like you have something in your teeth and a stain on your shirt.

You immediately retreat back to the couch, feeling alienated and misunderstood. At Listening to Grief 's Happy Hour for Sad People. At Mr. B’s Mead Center in White Center you can talk about your loss (if you want; no expectations) without the risk of pity face—you know the one—because everyone here gets it. You might even have some fun (again, no pressure!). Free, donations appreciated. As a courtesy to Mr. B, we ask that each attendee purchase at least one drink. Non-alcoholic mead is available (and delicious).

No reservations needed--just drop on by! Grief is lonely, but you don't have to be alone. No pity face or pressure here, just mead, games, and people who are genuinely pleased to talk to you.
