Call for Contributions
Get Griefy Magazine is a 100% free digital platform dedicated to normalizing conversations around grief and loss across the globe. Our mission is to create a space that is refreshingly honest, deeply relatable, and rooted in community, helping people feel seen, supported, and less alone in their experiences.
We operate on a rolling submission basis, meaning contributors are welcome to apply and submit their work at any time.
Application Fee
To submit your work, applicants are required to pay a small application fee. This fee helps compensate the Get Griefy team for the time and care involved in thoughtfully reviewing each submission and ensures contributors are genuinely aligned with our mission.
Please note that payment of the application fee does not guarantee acceptance.
If selected, your piece will be placed into a visual spread, complete with Bio, Author Links, and Media Assets to share your published piece with your audience.
Publication Opportunities
Selected submissions may be considered for:
Print publication in a future issue
Digital publication on our website or Substack
By submitting your work and paying the application fee, you grant Get Griefy Magazine permission to publish your contribution under your name if it is selected.
Prior Publication
Your submission does not need to be exclusive to Get Griefy. Previously published work is welcome, including pieces that have appeared on your personal blog, Substack, or other platforms, provided you have the rights to share it.
What We’re Looking For
We welcome informative, thoughtful, and authentic writing that resonates with readers navigating grief and loss.
Submissions should reflect the core values of Get Griefy:
Boldness
Rawness
Authenticity
Humor
Cultural relevance
Our goal is to publish pieces that encourage honest conversations about grief, loss, and healing, helping our readers feel understood, supported, and less alone.
Submission Requirements
Word count: 800–1,200 words
Content type: Non-sales-based writing
Tone: Honest, reflective, and relatable
Focus: Content that informs, supports, or connects with readers experiencing grief and loss
